FAQ'S

The trek to the Annapurna Base Camp is moderately tricky, but this may vary if you plan to go higher elevation. There is no specialized training to be undertaken for the base camp trek. You may rest up at places as there are many homestays at certain intervals in this trek. Some may have difficulties due to mountain sickness when they reach higher elevations, so medical supplies are recommended.

Always carry a water bottle with you. There are many waterfalls and other water resources which you can drink from throughout the trek. Most foreigners may have problems due to high mineral content on the water, so one of those filtered water bottles should be handy.

Don’t forget to carry toilet paper with you. Most of the toilets are unusual for most foreigners, as there are mostly squat toilets available in most guesthouses. You will get used to it along your journey.

During Autumn, from MID-SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER and in the spring from
MARCH TO MAY, are considered to be the best time for the Annapurna base camp trek. No clouds are covering up the majestic mountain views, and the sunrise in the mountains is spectacular.

JUNE TO AUGUST IS THE MONSOON SEASON IN NEPAL. Many roads get blocked
due to landslides during this time. The risk factors are high for trekking in the monsoon. There are constant flash floods in the rivers,
and the muddy trek routes make the climb harder. However, gorgeous rhododendron forest covers up the hill to show off its beauty at this time.
